The Hinaki lightshade is Inspired by traditional New Zealand weaving patterns. The Maori used these intricate patterns when making their fishing nets "Hinaki", commonly used for eel fishing.

We utilize 3mm bamboo for the form pieces and 4mm birch plywood for the structural rings.
